The tools on this site run inside your browser. Your files and the text you paste stay on your device. We don’t receive them, so there’s nothing for us to store, read, or lose.
You don’t need an account. We don’t want your email address. Below is the rest of it, including the parts that aren’t zero, because no website collects literally nothing and saying otherwise would be a lie.
How the tools work
Every tool here is JavaScript running in your browser. Paste text into a formatter and your browser formats it. Open a file in a converter and your browser converts it. The content doesn’t get sent to our server.
So we never see it. We can’t log it or share it. It isn’t in a database, and it isn’t in any backup of ours.
You don’t have to take our word for that. Open your browser’s developer tools, click the Network tab, and use any tool on the site. Nothing goes out. Or load a tool page, turn off your wifi, and keep using it. It still works.
When a tool remembers your work
Some tools may offer to keep what you were working on, so it’s still there when you come back. When that happens:
- It’s saved in your browser’s local storage, on that device only.
- It never gets sent to us.
- It never syncs to your other devices.
- It’s never used for analytics, ads, or profiling.
- It only happens after you do something that obviously means “save this,” or after the tool tells you plainly that it will.
- The tool gives you a button to clear it.
Tools that handle sensitive things store nothing at all. Passwords, tokens, API keys, personal data: none of it gets saved, not even locally. If you decode a JWT here, nothing about it persists after you close the tab.
To delete anything saved this way, you don’t need to ask us. Use the tool’s clear button. Or clear site data for freetoolbank.com in your browser settings, usually under Privacy or Site Settings. Clearing cookies and site data for this site wipes it.
Your light or dark setting
If you switch the site between light and dark, we save that choice in your browser’s local storage. It’s one word, light or dark. It doesn’t get sent to us and it says nothing about you. Clear your site data and it’s gone, and the site goes back to following your operating system.
What we do collect
Here’s the honest part.
Server logs
Hostinger hosts this site. Their servers keep access logs, the same as almost every web host. Those logs typically record your IP address, the time, the page you asked for, and your browser’s user-agent string. We use them to keep the site running and to look into errors or abuse. We don’t build profiles from them and we don’t combine them with anything else.
Caching
We use LiteSpeed Cache so pages load fast. It runs on the same server that hosts the site. No third-party CDN is switched on, so your requests aren’t routed through another company. Caching may set a few technical cookies so you get the right version of a page.
Search engine settings
We use a plugin called Rank Math to manage page titles, descriptions, and the sitemap search engines read. It doesn’t track visitors. Its analytics feature, which would connect to Google Search Console, isn’t switched on here.
Analytics
There’s no analytics on this site right now. No Google Analytics, no tracking pixel, no heatmaps, no session recording.
We’re not going to promise we’ll never add any. A site eventually needs to know which pages are worth keeping. But if we add something, this page gets updated to name it and say what it collects, before it goes live. We’re not going to pre-announce things that don’t exist.
Ads
There are no ads on this site and no ad network is loaded.
Accounts and email
There are no accounts. Registration is switched off. You don’t sign up, log in, or hand over an email address to use anything here, and no tool is locked behind a paid tier.
If you email us, then obviously we have your email address and whatever you wrote. We keep it long enough to reply and to remember the conversation. That’s all.
What this site doesn’t load
Sometimes the absences say more than the inclusions. This site doesn’t load:
- Google Fonts, or any webfont hosted somewhere else
- JavaScript libraries from a CDN
- Social buttons, share widgets, or embedded players
- A comment system. Comments are closed site-wide.
- Ad or tracking scripts
Half of that is a privacy decision and half is a speed decision. They turn out to be the same decision.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see personal data held about you, correct it, or have it deleted. We hold very little: server logs, plus any email you’ve sent us. Ask us through the contact page and we’ll deal with it.
You don’t need to ask about anything a tool saved. That’s in your browser, not ours. Clearing your site data removes it straight away.
Children
This is a general set of utilities and isn’t aimed at children. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone, children included.
If this changes
If what we collect changes, this page changes before the change goes live, and the date at the bottom moves with it.
The main promise isn’t up for revision. Tools run in your browser and your files aren’t uploaded. That’s the reason the site exists.
